A series of paintings, celebrating and exploring our familiar surroundings. A walk to the local shops or the high street might seem mundane but at times these familiar places can surprise us with what is left of their hidden charm. Over the years the high streets have become to look like a mass-produced environment, a reflection of certain giants businesses that took over and destroyed small family run businesses that brought individuality and uniqueness to our high streets. Familiar places bring a sense of comfort and belonging. My attempt in these series is to preserve what is left and document what is gone.
